Catalonia - the proud country in the North-East of Spain
The beauty of Catalonia has been attracting admirers and artists since earliest times. From as early as the middle of the 19th century, artists and painters have gained inspiration from the rich colours and ever-changing scenery.

The picturesque town of Reus, the place of birth of the great artist Antoni Gaudí, lies at the heart of the Costa Daurada. Unfortunately, you won’t find any of his buildings; he left his native town at a too early age. However, you will find the Catalan version of Art Nouveau called modernisme, that is specific to Reus, everywhere. Not as elegant as Barcelona, but full of life and extremely diverse! The narrow streets of the town seem to rise up and meet right above your head and the spacious squares afford you a glimpse of the cloudless blue sky every few steps.
In between, you can find a wide range of restaurants and shops because Reus can look back on a long tradition in trade!

Those who still want to tread the paths that Gaudí took can visit the Gaudí Centre in Reus where you can not only see Gaudí’s life and works, but you can even touch them!

Let yourself be inspired by Gaudí and Catalonia and fly every Saturday exclusively from Bern this autumn to this enchanting cultural city. Flights can be booked on www.helvetic.com, packages on www.belpmoos-reisen.ch.
