Lovely Glasgow
Anyone after a break with a difference should be sure to visit Glasgow. Long gone are the times of smoke-belching chimneys and decaying industrial ruins. Glasgow, the city on the Clyde, has undergone an extensive transformation and is now one of the world’s most vibrant cities, with a very unique character to match.

Glasgow delights its visitors with a wealth of museums, pubs, clubs and parks, and, of course, the warm and friendly Scots!

Glasgow is widely regarded as the melting pot for music in Scotland. International pop icons like Amy Macdonald, Franz Ferdinand and Travis have close ties with the city. The city’s concert halls, including the Old Fruitmarket and Òran Mór, with its clubs and bars, put on a fantastic range of evening entertainment with something to suit all musical tastes.

Glasgow is also famous for its imposing architecture, strongly influenced by the architect and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the man behind the city’s highly distinctive ‘Glasgow Style’.

However, the biggest attraction is and remains the city itself, in which visitors can admire buildings, meet friendly people, catch the sounds of music through the windows of the city’s pubs and be totally and utterly subconsciously swept away by the dynamic of this great city. And just when you find yourself losing yourself in your thoughts, the mystical sounds of bagpipes being played on the streets will bring you back to reality again.
