When summer gives way to autumn
The days at the end of August and the beginning of September are always veiled in a magical light: golden, radiant, but also mellow.
In his beautiful poem, the German writer Kurt Tucholsky found the perfect name for this time of year, calling it "The Fifth Season".

But if, nonetheless, you would like to hold on to a little of the summer of 2013, then the ideal moment is right around the corner: the autumn holiday period will soon be here.
Think, for example, of Southern Italy, where the summer heat is lessening. Now the pace is slower, giving you a chance to linger and enjoy yourself, and visits to its lovely little old towns are more pleasant.

In Bristol, too, the weather is still auspicious, and further southwest it’s even more promising. The autumn colours along the coast are stunning, and the high chalk and limestone cliffs provide a magnificent contrast. In little more than an hour you can be in the County of Dorset, for example, well-known for its mild climate and unspoilt natural beauty.

Just for once, enjoy the coming autumn differently, and fly with us to the dream landscapes of Great Britain.
