Through Corsica by rail
The Isle of Beauty fascinates visitors with its breath-taking landscapes. And not just those travelling on foot or by car – those seeking adventure and railway enthusiasts are also in their element here.
The Y-shaped railway network snakes its way across Corsica. The single-track narrow-gauge railway covers a total of 231 kilometres and links the two port cities of Bastia (east coast) and Ajaccio (west coast), as well as Ponte Leccia and Calvi in the north. With an incline of up to 15%, Corsica’s railway passes through and over countless tunnels and viaducts. A train journey through Corsica, in particular the route between Bocognano und Francardo, makes for a unique experience! www.cf-corse.fr
