On the trail of Wallace & Gromit
Who hasn’t heard of them, Wallace & Gromit, the likeable animation film stars made from modelling clay!
Created by British animator Nick Park in Bristol, city of arts and culture, they play the leading role in several short films.
The adventures of the simple, but loveable inventor Wallace and his ingenious dog Gromit, who have won two Oscars to date, are always epic.

The contrast between both of the characters is obvious, all the more so because of their reduced facial expressions. There’s Wallace, who tends to be loud and extroverted, and Gromit, who doesn’t speak at all and appears to be cleverer than his master. The great thing is that Parks films are infused with the wonderfully dry, British sense of humour.

The first feature-length cinema film (85min) was released in 2005 entitled “Wallace & Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”, which enchanted both children and adults alike.

Wallace & Gromit fans – keep your eyes peeled for “Gromit Unleashed”, a public art exhibition, which will be opening in Bristol on July 1st! 80 giant Gromit sculptures made of fibreglass will be adorning the entire port city for 10 weeks. The proceeds from the auction of the sculptures after the exhibition will go to the “Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal, The Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity”. www.gromitunleashed.org.uk
