The HORIZON Swiss Flight Academy (SFA) has existed for 35 years now. In 2008 it was integrated into the Helvetic Airways Group.
Horizon SFA accompanies students on their way to gaining their EASA licences and then on into the cockpits of many airlines, by providing them with the most up-to-date training methods. On completion of their training at Horizon, fledgling pilots have the best chances of finding one of today’s most in-demand positions. The course takes three years and can be completed alongside employment. To be offered a place on the airline pilot training programme, you need to have completed an apprenticeship or the equivalent of UK A-levels.
So far over 5000 pilots have experienced the efficient, practice-orientated and top-quality training provided by SFA. The theory modules can be completed in the classroom or as a distance learning course, using a web-based training tool. The practical training can be carried out at various places in Switzerland.
