The city of Bordeaux, known as a ‘sleeping beauty’, has events in store this summer that are anything but sleepy.
The list is long, entertaining and diverse: for instance, Europe’s best footballers will be meeting in the new Chaban Delmas Stadium for exciting matches during the European Championships, the Fête le Vin will be opening its doors for the tenth time, and sportspeople will get their pulses racing during the Marathon du Médoc. The Surf Festival welcomes all those water lovers who are hungry for the waves, and speaking of water: the impressive sailing ship Le Belem is once again moored at Quai Richelieu, and even rock band ZZ Top will be granting the region a musical royal visit.
So, you could say there’ll be exciting events ‘à la bordelaise’!
