On Mallorca, the week before Easter as well as the Pentecost and Ascension Day holidays are among the most important times in the whole year. You can therefore look forward to watching or even attending religious ceremonies, masses or processions – or even pay a visit to the well-known Basilica.
It’s no different in the Aquitaine region. Here, the holidays are used for family festivals and gatherings. A quiet, long and enjoyable family weekend in Bordeaux (which by the way was voted as 2016’s “best European destination”) is something we highly recommend. We suggest those who enjoy wine culture pay a visit to Cité du Vin, which opened last year.
